Blog Assignment 3happy news
One artical I was reading was about a former NBA player Mike Gleen started a camp for deaf children to help them improve on their basketball skills. To me that is just very sweet because it lets them know that they can do the same things we do and I know it makes them feel good inside. Those kinds of kids need that kind of encouragement so that they won't have to think that we we are different. If I had the chance to go just spend a day with them I would because it would make me feel so awesome inside to know that I just helped some kids with special needs. When I get older I think I will do this if I ever get a chance!

Blog assignment #1
My name is Ashley I was born July 24th. I was raised in Baton Rouge,LA. I attend Bethany Christian School and is in the 7th grade. I love playing sports and sleeping. I have been did cheerleading for 2 years and really enjoy it!
My favorite color is bleu and my favorite candy is starburst. I have one sister and two brothers and I of course am the baby. I really love dogs and absolutely hate cats! I plan to adopt some dogs when I get older, or at least help at animal shelters. My favorite animal is a zebra.
I plan to graduate from high school and college. When I grow up I want to be a O.B.G.Y.N(a doctor that delivers babies). I plan to attend a college in Texas. I would like to then get a job and finish school. I will come back to visit my family.
My next plan is travel around the world. I would like to go help the ladies in different countries that have sick children and just all the people that are poor. The next step is for me to build a place where young girls who have no place to stay can get the care that they need. I would like to do that because now at my age I see a lot of homeless young girls. That is just something that I feel led to do.
After I have did those things I will later retire. I would pass my legacy on to my children and so on. Then I am just going to do what old people do. These are just a few things I plan to do but there is more. I will then die when ever and go to heaven.

Step 1
Decide what type of interview you'd like to do. The most common are face-to-face and phone interviews. Face to face gives you an opportunity to look at the person and see the look on their face when they're telling their stories. A phone interview gives the person a little more anonymity and might provide an easier outlet for someone to open up.
Step 2
Set up a time or place to meet with your subject. If you are meeting face to face, meet in a place that is comfortable to the subject.
Step 3
Bring a recorder and a notebook and pen. Turn the recorder on during the interview, but write down in the notebook key things that were said. You can also write down the time certain things were said by watching the timer on your recorder.
Step 4
Start a conversation, not an interview. Have a conversation with your subject because you want them to be comfortable with what they're talking about. The more comfortable your subject is, the better the interview will be.
Step 5
Listen. Let your subject talk. Don't be so quick to interject with more questions. Wait for a definitive pause before asking your next question.
Step 6
Let the conversation steer your line of questioning. It's good to go into the interview with an idea of what you want to ask, but don't be afraid to ask your questions in response to what your subject has said.
Step 7
Let the interview go as long as it needs to. Don't limit your time or your subject's chance to tell his story. This will ensure the most complete interview possible. After he is finished, thank them for their time.
